About a month ago I started two new jobs. I'm a part-time secretary for the school M goes to, and I'm tutoring three girls in 6th grade math. I also took my first paid gig as a face painter for a kid's birthday party, and made the cake as well. (It was a pirate ship, complete with sails, water & a shark.)
As soon as I pay off some old debts, I think the first thing I might put my paycheck towards is one of these. I have to have some help keeping track of my schedule. Between stuff for the kids, doctor appointments for my father & aunt, work, tutoring, and everything else, I either need something like this or a personal secretary.
mostly pointless meanderings

I've been doing some pretty extensive research into smartphones recently (Marla wants one for much the same reason as you do) and have come to have a pretty strong preference for the Blackberry Curve over anything short of an iPhone based on performance vs. price.
Looks like it'll sync well with a mac too, as long as I get the software.
When it gets closer to the time that I actually have money (ha!) I'll go do the hands-on testing, to see which one I like. (Who knows, by then maybe the iPhone will have been more debugged, unlocked and cheaper!)
Or maybe I'll ask Khang if I can sit down and play with his - he's got a Blackberry something, and I know it's got the GPS thing, 'cause we couldn't get it to find the Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando when we needed it to!
